Shanxi’s illustrated YVF3 catalogue contains more than a motor power table: it specifies frame-dependent auxiliary fans, bearing arrangements, electrical connections and protection options. These details are important when a motor must run slowly for long periods or replace a unit inside an existing machine. The dedicated YVF3 catalogue is used here instead of the product page’s unrelated YE3 introductory paragraph.
YVF3-180M-2 is listed at 22 kW, 41.78 A and 163 kg. The catalogue’s 3,000 rpm heading is synchronous speed, not a measured loaded-shaft speed. Specify the required loaded rpm and torque with the inverter settings. A four-pole 180M entry is separately listed at 18.5 kW and 37.03 A; the frame designation alone does not identify the winding or output.
For horizontal frame 180, the two-pole bearing row lists 6211/C3 at both ends. The four-pole-and-above row instead lists 6311/C3 at the drive end and 6211/C3 at the non-drive end. The catalogue describes frame 180 and larger as relubricatable. Preserve pole count and mounting orientation when requesting bearings or a replacement motor; a common frame number is not a complete spare-parts specification.
The operating-conditions page states 220 V delta/380 V star for frames up to and including H280, and 380 V delta/660 V star above H280. Confirm the delivered winding and nameplate against the inverter output voltage. A 380 V supply statement alone does not tell an installer whether delta or star is appropriate.
The forced-fan table lists 380 V for these examples and notes that fan voltage can be adapted to an order. These are separate fan figures, not the main motor power or a guarantee of installed airflow through any enclosure. Include the fan circuit and cooling supervision in the control design.
| Motor frame | Fan power | Listed airflow | Listed pressure |
|---|---|---|---|
| 180 | 120 W | 2,000 m³/h | 97 Pa |
| 315S/M | 600 W | 6,500 m³/h | 170 Pa |
| 315L | 800 W | 7,200 m³/h | 185 Pa |
| 355 | 2,200 W | 4,000 m³/h | 850 Pa |
| 400 | 4,000 W | 8,331 m³/h | 895 Pa |
The operating table states 3–50 Hz constant torque. For frames 80–315, the constant-power region is 50–60 Hz for two poles and 50–100 Hz for four poles and above. For frames 355–450, it is 50–60 Hz for two poles, 50–75 Hz for four poles and 50–100 Hz for six poles and above. These limits must be paired with the ordered cooling configuration, load and drive; they are not one universal 100 Hz rating.
The options table lists an insulated end cover as standard from H315 upward, optional for H250–H280, and lists insulated bearings as optional across the shown frame groups. Do not assume that ordering the standard insulated-cover arrangement also supplies insulated bearings. Specify the requested bearing-current protection arrangement and have it reviewed with the inverter and motor cabling.
The H180–H400 row identifies no temperature measurement as the standard configuration, while offering bearing sensing and six winding measurement points. If temperature alarms or shutdowns are required, include sensor type, output, quantity and control-system compatibility in the order. The catalogue does not justify assuming a particular sensor protocol from the number of measurement points.
The catalogue describes an occasional test at 1.5 times rated current for at least two minutes at rated voltage and frequency. That is not a recurring overload cycle approved at every inverter frequency. Define repetition, recovery time and low-speed cooling separately before using an overload allowance in machine sizing.
The terminal table lists six main terminals with M6 studs, two M40 × 1.5 entries and a listed external cable-diameter range of 22–30 mm for frame 180. The top-mounted box has its standard cable entry on the right when viewed from the drive end and can rotate in 90° increments where installation clearance permits. Check cable bend space and gland compatibility in the machine layout.
The operating-conditions page gives −15°C to +40°C ambient and altitude below 1,000 m, with IP54/IP55 and IC411/IC416 configurations listed. Specify the actual enclosure and cooling option rather than treating both as simultaneous features. For condensation-prone locations, the catalogue describes an optional winding heater that is off while the motor runs and active when it is stopped; its circuit and interlock belong in the electrical scope.
Provide the full frame and pole suffix, power, supply and connection, minimum continuous and maximum speed, load profile, cooling choice, mounting drawing and auxiliary requirements. For an existing installation, include the terminal-box orientation and required bearing arrangement. That lets the supplier quote the motor and its necessary auxiliaries as one defined configuration.
CATALOGUE OVERVIEW
Shanxi Motor’s dedicated YVF3 catalogue documents an inverter-fed three-phase induction motor range with frame-specific frequency limits, cooling fans, bearing arrangements and protection options. Its YVF3-180M-2 example is listed at 22 kW and 41.78 A. Selection requires the full frame and pole designation, winding connection, cooling arrangement and auxiliary circuits, rather than motor power alone. The configuration guide below uses the illustrated YVF3 catalogue and keeps its ratings separate from the unrelated YE3 introduction on the source page.
Specifications describe a series range; confirm which ratings apply together to the quoted model.
Confirm mounting and shaft dimensions against the drawing for the quoted configuration.
Keep your sourcing team on the same page.
