About this motor series

Hongtai’s YZ family is a cage-rotor motor for lifting and metallurgy machinery with frequent starts, reversals and braking. The catalogue uses S3 at 40% cyclic duration as the reference duty and lists 380 V, 50 Hz operation. General crane and metallurgy configurations differ in insulation and enclosure selection.

The published installation guidance distinguishes winding temperature capability and ambient conditions. Define the actual load cycle, including acceleration, reversing and braking intervals, before choosing a rating. Request the exact frame and shaft drawing; a general family table does not prove a particular motor fits an existing crane. The YZ cage design should also be distinguished from the supplier’s YZR wound-rotor range.
