This catalogue spans devices with different jobs. Choose the function first, then preserve the full model suffix and mounting code. The 55ZY winding comparison and ZCF221 calibration example below show why matching only voltage, frame or speed can lead to the wrong replacement.
These are enclosed ferrite permanent-magnet DC motors. The model key distinguishes two-pole ZY from four-pole ZYT, followed by the winding/design and construction codes. Select the actual voltage, speed and torque row; a shared frame number does not identify an interchangeable winding.
SZ is a wound-field micro DC servo family. Its code distinguishes series excitation C, compound excitation F and the unmarked separately excited/shunt form. SY is a separate permanent-magnet servo family. An SZ replacement needs the field connection and excitation type as well as armature information; the family name alone does not establish a compatible drive or feedback arrangement.
ZCF is a DC tachogenerator. Its useful output is a speed-dependent voltage for a measurement or control circuit, rather than mechanical output for driving the load. Match excitation, specified load resistance, voltage calibration and coupling.
The PX catalogue combines a ZYT permanent-magnet motor or an SZ servo motor with a planetary reduction gear. Quote the complete motor-plus-gear designation: motor frame and design, PX reduction ratio and A1 foot or A3 flange mounting. A bare-motor designation omits the reduction and output interface.
These examples come from the 55ZY table, not a combined rating for the full DC range. Length L is the dimension marked on the A3 drawing, so it should be checked against that drawing rather than treated as a universal overall envelope.
| Catalogue item | 55ZY01 | 55ZY51 |
|---|---|---|
| Voltage / speed | 24 V / 3,000 rpm | 24 V / 3,000 rpm |
| Output / torque | 20 W / 0.065 N·m | 29 W / 0.091 N·m |
| Current upper limit | 1.8 A | 2.3 A |
| A3 drawing length L | 90 mm | 100 mm |
| Listed maximum mass | 0.8 kg | 0.9 kg |
The A3 55ZY drawing shows a 55 mm body, 6 mm h8 shaft, 42 mm h7 locating diameter and four 4.5 mm holes on a 48 × 48 mm pattern. A 55ZY51 substitution adds 10 mm to the marked L dimension relative to 55ZY01. Send the existing mounting drawing and coupling engagement length with the motor designation.
The ZY/ZYT overview lists A1 foot mounting for frames 90–160, while A3 end-flange and A5 case-periphery mounting cover frames 55–160. Do not request a standard foot-mounted 55ZY by assuming every catalogue mounting is available in every frame. The family overview gives an ambient range of −25 to +40°C; application-specific duty and cooling still need agreement.
| ZCF221 versus ZCF221AD | Both rows specify 0.3 A excitation, a 2,000 Ω load and 2,400 rpm reference speed, but ZCF221 lists 51 ± 2.5 V while ZCF221AD lists 16 ± 0.8 V. Both list 1% output-voltage asymmetry and ±1% linearity error. Changing the suffix changes the feedback scale even when the mechanical speed is the same. |
|---|---|
| Give the receiving circuit, not just the old speed | For a tachogenerator inquiry, include the complete existing code, excitation supply, receiver input resistance, required voltage at the reference speed and shaft/coupling drawing. The catalogue values are tied to the stated load resistance; an unloaded voltage reading is not the same acceptance condition. Keep the tachogenerator and the mechanical drive motor as separate items in the request. |
CATALOGUE OVERVIEW
Shanbo’s DC motor catalogue includes SZ micro servo, ZY and ZYT permanent-magnet, SY servo, ZCF tachometer and geared DC families. Listed applications include forklifts, locomotives, environmental vehicles and switchgear. This is a multi-family catalogue listing. Request the exact series datasheet and verify voltage, torque-speed performance, mounting and duty for the application.
Specifications describe a series range; confirm which ratings apply together to the quoted model.
Confirm mounting and shaft dimensions against the drawing for the quoted configuration.
