01 / MOTION ARCHITECTURE
Choose the control route before the frame size
The published catalogue distinguishes open-loop stepper, separate closed-loop stepper components, integrated closed-loop stepper, low-voltage servo and 220/380 V AC servo. These are different control and wiring choices, not interchangeable power ratings.
Simple indexed motion: open-loop stepper
The two- and three-phase hybrid stepper families pair with separately listed SD digital or SE bus drives. Check load torque through the whole speed curve and whether the application can tolerate an unobserved missed step.
Confirm before ordering Send the required move, acceleration, duty cycle, supply and controller output; request the exact motor–driver pairing and torque-speed curve.

Position feedback: closed-loop stepper
The 56S and 86S motor families are listed separately from SS closed-loop drives. The 56S catalogue lists several winding/torque variants, so a family name alone does not define the chosen motor or its matching drive.
Confirm before ordering Specify shaft load, speed, encoder/feedback interface, drive model, wiring and alarm response for the exact pair.

Tighter wiring envelope: integrated ISS
ISS42 and ISS57 place the closed-loop stepper and electronics in one assembly. The ISS42 catalogue separates CANopen C variants from Modbus RTU over RS-485 R variants; select the actual communication variant before designing the controller interface.
Confirm before ordering Confirm bus type, address and cable plan, available 24 V DC supply, mechanical envelope and thermal environment against the selected ISS code.

Dynamic speed control: servo
The compact low-voltage servo family and the 220 V / 380 V AC servo families are separate published routes. Compare the application's voltage, continuous and peak torque, inertia, braking and feedback needs before picking one.
Confirm before ordering Request a motor, drive, encoder and cable set for the stated load cycle, not a motor quotation in isolation.
