CATALOGUE OVERVIEW

About this motor series

MCM lists an induction-motor range of 500–40,000 kW for compressed-air and industrial-gas machinery. Its catalogue separates that range from larger synchronous compressor machines; the synchronous figures are not included in this listing. Published options include two, four or six poles and a 6–13.8 kV voltage range.

Cooling and starting arrangements are project-specific. Provide the compressor torque-speed characteristic, train inertia, number of starts and network voltage-drop limits. Establish the cooling medium and allowable temperatures, bearing arrangement and foundation interfaces before final sizing. The catalogue range indicates engineering scope, not that every power, voltage and cooling combination is available as a standard product.
